Center regulations

1.- GENERAL RULES

  • The opening hours of the facility are Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm, Saturday from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm and Sundays and holidays from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm.
    Smoking is not allowed in any area of the facility. Including the cafeteria area.
  • It is expressly forbidden the entry of animals in all the enclosure, with the exception of guide dogs and working dogs of the different State Security Forces and Corps.
  • The circulation of bicycles, skateboards, skates and any other similar instrument for transit is also prohibited in the different facilities, except for the places where their use is permitted.
  • Subscribers under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult in order to use the facilities, except when they participate in an activity specifically designed for this age group. No weight-bearing exercises may be performed until the age of 16.
  • It is mandatory to respect the schedules established for the different activities.
  • Duin reserves the right to modify the program, the number of sessions and their content and schedule, and the monthly prices are calculated taking into account the decrease in the number of activities offered during the months of lower attendance at the center.
  • Swimming courses are annual and are billed quarterly, coinciding with the school calendar. The summer, adult and pregnancy swimming courses will be quarterly and billed monthly, although they will also coincide with the school calendar.
  • Damages and/or damages caused to the installation and/or the material due to misuse, will entail its replacement and may result in the loss of the right to be paid.
  • Official complaint and/or suggestion forms are available at the reception desk.
  • The use of sports spaces and services by subscribers must be governed by the characteristics of their subscription or quota. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the holder (except if he/she performs an activity outside the quota, in which case the bracelet will also be open during the hours of that activity).
  • The collection of images (photo or video), as well as their dissemination, including social networks, without the express permission of the center’s management is prohibited. In no case may third parties leave without their express consent.

2.- ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES

  • At the time of registration you must provide a photocopy of your ID card and the details of the account number or card for direct debit of bills.
  • The amount of the fee may vary depending on possible changes in the modality of access, changes from individual to family enrollment and vice versa or if it is a fee with an age limitation.
  • Subscribers under 3 years of age will enjoy a 100% discount on the price (in a family pack) of the season ticket and will pay the children’s fee from the age of 3. In the event that the child’s father or mother is an individual member, he/she will be able to access with the parents during their access hours and will benefit from the advantages of being a subscriber; when the child turns 3 years old, the father or mother will have to make a family registration with the child if he/she wants to continue being a member of the facility.
  • The amount of the registration fee and the first payment will be paid at the reception desk to process the registration. The following payments will be paid by direct debit to the bank provided by the user.
  • The subscriber may change the type of subscription and notify the change of his personal or bank details provided that he communicates it in writing before the 20th day of the current month.
  • There are some types of quotas that require a minimum permanence before being able to change it.
  • In the event that a receipt is returned for any reason beyond the organization’s control, the administrative costs will be charged to the subscriber.
  • Unpaid bills will incur a surcharge of €3 for administrative reprocessing.
  • When a subscriber wishes to leave the center temporarily or permanently, he/she must do so in writing or by mail to the reception of the center before the 20th of the current month. In case of temporary cancellation, he/she will not lose the status of member, but will have to pay a monthly maintenance fee for a period of no less than 3 months and no more than 1 year (except in exceptional cases) with proof of injury. In the case of definitive cancellation, to regain the status of subscriber, you will have to pay again the registration fee.
  • Temporary medical leave shall be valid according to the medical report certifying such injury, after which the subscriber shall continue to be active with the quota prior to the event.
  • A terminated member will not be able to access the club, nor enjoy the associated services or active member discounts, such as course discounts, etc.
  • Duin reserves the right to apply promotions or tuition discounts to former members of the facility.
  • In general, a subscriber who cancels his subscription will not be able to benefit from a new subscription promotion until a minimum of 6 months have elapsed.
  • A member will be able to benefit from the subscriber price from the moment he/she becomes a member of the facility.
  • If a subscriber leaves the facility as a member, but wants to continue with any of our services, he/she will have to pay the proportional part of the discount. In the case of personal training, it will also be necessary to pay the entrance fee to the facility, perhaps we could say: “in the case of a service contracted with a discounted amount for being a member, the subscriber must pay the amount or amounts necessary to access the center or equivalent to the discount”.
  • In no case will places be reserved without ALL documentation in full.

3.- RULES FOR CHANGING ROOMS

  • Respect the space of other subscribers or users.
  • Management will not be responsible for lost or missing materials.
  • It is forbidden to eat or smoke inside the locker rooms.
  • Children under 3 years of age may enter the corresponding locker room with their parents. After this age, they must change alone in the corresponding locker rooms.
  • Bathing slippers must be worn to move around the area.
  • It is recommended not to bring valuables. It is not allowed to deposit valuables in the lockers (jewelry, cameras, cell phones, etc.) The organization is not responsible for lost, forgotten and/or stolen objects. Duin will not be responsible for any damage caused to the goods deposited by users in the lockers.
  • All subscribers can enjoy lockers for occasional use, equipped with electronic locks.
  • It is necessary to use the lockers and always close the door with the bracelet.
  • The lockers must be emptied at the end of the activity. At the end of the day, the lockers will be opened and the objects found inside will be deposited as lost and found.
  • If you have problems with the lock, notify the installation personnel.
  • In case of loss of the locker key, the center staff will proceed to open the locker, the contents of the locker will be recorded in writing and the student will be informed that if he/she does not show up within 1 week, he/she will have to pay 8 euros.
  • Showering should be done for the time strictly necessary to avoid wasting water, it is important to contribute to saving water.
  • Dry off in the shower area.
  • For hygienic reasons, no waxing, dyeing or shaving is allowed in the locker room area.

4.- RULES FOR THE FITNESS ROOM

  • Children under 14 years of age are not allowed to enter the room or use the fitness equipment. Between the ages of 14 and 16, access is permitted, but training that involves excessive use of force loads is not allowed (cardio only recommended).
  • All areas are open to all visitors over 16 years of age.
  • For hygienic reasons, the use of a towel between the body and the device used is mandatory.
  • No sports bags, food, glass containers, or any other material deemed inappropriate by the facility staff may be brought into the fitness room.
  • It is not allowed to enter with the torso naked, in street clothes or with inappropriate footwear, except for personnel authorized by the center’s management.
  • At the end of each exercise, any sweat that may have remained on the equipment, especially cardiovascular equipment, should be wiped off.
    The equipment used should be returned to its place once it has been used.
  • During the recovery pause between sets, it is mandatory to hand over the device if another user is waiting.
  • In case you feel unwell, do not play it down, but inform the center staff immediately.
  • During peak hours, the time limit for the use of the cardiovascular machines will be 30 minutes.
  • Hydrate (drink water): before, during and after the activity. Your body will thank you.
  • In case of suffering from any cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, osteo-articular or other diseases that may pose a health risk, it is necessary to inform the technician and always go accompanied.

5.- DIRECTED ACTIVITIES ROOMS (Sala Marisma, Ynergia, Studio Marisma Dance and Studio Pilates)

  • Children under 16 years of age are not allowed to enter or participate in activities, except for those programmed for this age group (14 years of age if they are not strength activities).
  • The rooms may not be accessed with food, glass containers, or any other material that the facility staff deems inappropriate.
  • It is not allowed to enter in street clothes, with bare torso or with non-sporty or inappropriate footwear, except for personnel authorized by the Center’s Management.
  • Directed activities are carried out throughout the year, except for the reduced hours during the summer months and holidays, with flexible schedules that are adjusted to demand.
  • It is mandatory to use a towel to place on the mats to dry any sweat that may be left behind.
  • The material used must be returned to its place once its use is finished.
  • Please be punctual.It is not recommended to enter the class once the session has started.
  • Certain directed activities have limited capacity. Users should inquire about the procedures for reserving a place.

6.- RULES FOR THE CYCLING ROOM

  • Children under 16 years of age are not allowed to enter or participate in these activities.
  • It is not allowed to enter in street clothes, with the naked torso, with inappropriate footwear or without a towel, except for personnel authorized by the center’s management.
  • Bicycles must be placed in the indicated place, at the beginning and at the end of the activity, and with the adjustments completely loosened.
  • It is mandatory to wear sports shoes. If it is not a specific footwear, please pull up your laces to avoid injuries.
  • It is mandatory to use a towel to wipe off sweat and clean the bicycles.
  • To avoid injury, do not enter the class after the warm-up (+/- 10 minutes from the start).
  • If you feel fatigued or dizzy, do not hesitate to reduce the intensity of the exercise or stop progressively and inform the sports technician.
  • In case of suffering from any cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, osteo-articular or other diseases that may pose a health risk, the technician must be notified and always be accompanied.
  • The cycling classes will be booked in advance as stipulated by the club. If you do not have a reservation you can join the waiting list.
  • Remember that once the instructor starts the session, the right to the bike will be lost and those who are on the waiting list and/or do not have a reservation will be allowed to enter in order.
  • Hydrate (drink water): before, during and after the activity. Your body will thank you.
  • Find out about the bike reservation system at the reception desk or from your instructors.

7.- RULES FOR INDOOR SWIMMING POOLS

  • Children under 8 years of age and minors who do not know how to swim must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age who is responsible for them.This responsible adult must be with him/her during the whole stay of the minor in the pool.
  • Bathing shoes must be used to move around the area. It is forbidden to access the pool area with footwear and street clothes (except in the realization of events where the area is limited to people with street clothes and footwear with protection).
  • Shower before entering the pool.
  • The use of a bathing cap is mandatory.
  • Eating, drinking and smoking are prohibited in the bathing area.
  • It is forbidden to leave waste outside the garbage cans or other containers intended for this purpose.
  • It is mandatory to follow the instructions of the lifeguards and the pool staff.
  • Animals are not allowed in the pool area.
  • In case of suffering any cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, osteo-articular or other diseases that may pose a health risk, the technician or lifeguard must be notified and always be accompanied.
  • It is mandatory to wear a one-piece swimsuit for men and a one-piece or two-piece swimsuit for women, swim cap and bathing shoes.
  • In the pool area, both in and out of the water, no dangerous activity is allowed, such as running, jumping, pushing, diving or playing games that may pose a physical risk.
  • Respect the spaces and / or swimming lanes that, according to the level and programming, are delimited for courses and other activities.
  • If you feel unwell, do not play down the importance, immediately notify the lifeguard or sports technician.
  • Do not bathe if you suffer from any water or skin transmitted disease, if you think it is not transmitted send us a medical certificate.
  • Pool No. 5 (or hydrotherapy pool) is for the exclusive use of people over 18 years of age. In addition, it can also be used for courses for babies from 0 to 3 years old and for free swimming with babies of the same age accompanied by an adult (subject to a specific schedule).

8.- RULES FOR THE HYDROMASSAGE, SAUNA AND TURKISH BATH AREAS

  • Children under 18 years of age are not allowed to use it.
  • In case of suffering from any cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, osteo-articular or other diseases that may pose a health risk, consult a doctor, notify the technician and always go accompanied.
  • It is mandatory to shower before entering the whirlpool, sauna or steam bath.
  • It is not advisable to stay more than 10-15 minutes at a time.
  • It is necessary to remove all objects that oppress our skin (watches, chains, earrings, etc.). Each of these equipments has its own rules of use to be followed properly.
  • The Management reserves the right to modify this policy in order to improve the operation of the center.
  • The Management also reserves the right to interpret the rules in case of different interpretations of the same. Failure to comply with these rules may result in temporary or permanent suspension of the right of entry to the center.

9. GENERAL RULES FOR PADDLE TENNIS COURTS

  • Children under 14 years of age are not allowed to enter without being accompanied by a person of legal age (except for courses or organized activities).
  • Use within the courts clothing and footwear suitable for sports practice, being totally forbidden to use the courts without a shirt. Likewise, it is forbidden to use sports equipment not suitable for the sport in question, such as cleats or tennis racquets on the paddle courts and vice versa. The use of each court must be its own, not being able to practice any other sport for which it is not intended.
  • It is forbidden to rent the courts for private lessons, not allowing the entry of baskets of balls or material for teaching paddle, except for monitors belonging to the club itself.
  • The use of glass bottles is not allowed on the premises.
  • It is not allowed the manipulation of the game nets by personnel outside the facility. Any anomaly should be reported to reception.
  • We kindly ask you to use the garbage cans and collaborate with the good maintenance of the facilities.
  • Skateboards, skateboards, bicycles and soccer balls are not allowed in the facilities.
  • The access and permanence in the sports facility by the users will entail an appropriate behavior in terms of attitude and respect towards the normal development of the activities, the whole facility and the staff that provides service in the facility.

10. REGULATIONS FOR THE RENTAL OF PADDLE TENNIS COURTS:

  • To use the courts it is absolutely essential to have made a previous reservation on them, having proceeded to their payment through the digital means available, or at the Reception of the club, according to the type of reservation. Reservations can never be made by email or telephone.
  • Tracks can be reserved for a playing time of 60, 90 or 120 minutes at a time.
  • A reservation may be cancelled or changed up to 24 hours in advance, always through the online application or at the Club’s reception, never by email or telephone.
  • Refunds will only be made in cases of cancellation as stated in the specific regulations for each service, provided that the deadlines detailed therein are met. The Club will refund the full amount of the reservation to the client’s voucher. If the client does not have a voucher, the Club will activate it and charge the amount to be refunded for the cancellation.
  • In case it is raining or the court is impracticable due to rain, the customer may request a refund, which will always be made to the voucher (clubs with outdoor courts).
  • If it starts raining once the game has started, and if it has not been playing for more than 30 minutes, the amount of the court will be refunded to the voucher as explained in the previous point. If 30 minutes of play have already elapsed, the court fee will not be refunded (outdoor club).

11. REGULATIONS FOR PRIVATE LESSONS AND PADDLE BONUSES:

  • The Duin School’s offer includes private lessons, completely adapted to the specific needs of the student.
  • There is the possibility of hiring private lessons for 1 or 2 people.
  • The student may choose the day and time that best suits him/her for the class, as long as there are teachers available.
  • The day and time when the classes of a voucher are held can be defined class by class or in general for the whole voucher, always with the confirmation of the Club’s coordination.
  • Bonds are payable upon purchase.
  • Private classes may be cancelled or changed in time or day, as long as it is done at least 24 hours before the class is to be held. Cancellation less than 24 hours in advance will result in the loss of the class and the amount paid for it.

12.- USE OF INVITATIONS

The Duin centers reserve the right to deliver or exchange invitations to subscribers and non-subscribers in order to facilitate access to the sports center to people who are not subscribers. To make use of these invitations must be attended to:

  • Each Duin center will decide the reason for the delivery of the invitations according to its own commercial policy, without having to maintain these reasons indefinitely in time.
  • Provided that the center allows it, a user may redeem the invitation if he/she has not made use of another invitation in the last year.
  • Invitations may not be used by former subscribers who have been unsubscribed for less than 1 year or who have an outstanding receipt.
  • The use of an invitation allows the user to access the sports center for 1 day and make use of the same services and activities of the full fee subscribers. In no case it will include services such as courses, personal training, aesthetic services, health services,…
  • The use of an invitation implies consent to the processing of the user’s personal data and acceptance of the administrative conditions.
  • By using the invitations, the user accepts to be aware of the implicit risks that physical exercise may have on health and exonerates the company from any liability for damages and injuries.
  • The management of each Duin center may modify this policy for the convenience of its subscribers.

13.- RULES FOR URBANSPA

  • The UrbanSpa is open to Duin members and non-members. Duin members will have special prices on services and treatments.
  • You must be punctual, so as not to delay appointments. If you will not be able to come to the appointment, you can cancel it one hour in advance.
  • You should come to the appointment clean, do not go without showering after exercising.
  • Out of respect for other customers, a soft tone of voice should be maintained.

14.- JUNIOR CLUB, COVERED PATIO AND MULTI-SPORTS TRACK

  • Any directed activity has preference in the use of the space.
  • Any conduct that damages the material and/or facilities is prohibited.
  • The use of the machines is exclusively for people over 16 years of age.
  • The use of skateboards and skates is always allowed with a MANDATORY HELMET for children under 16 years old. The rest of protections (elbow pads, shin guards, knee pads…) will be highly recommended, being the responsibility of the user or, where appropriate, guardian its non-use.
  • The use of electric vehicles is prohibited.
  • Keep the playground clean. Garbage cans will be used whenever necessary.

15.- CAMPUS

  • Prior registration is required. Reservations can be cancelled 24 hours in advance.
  • You should refrain from accessing the facility if you are suffering from any symptoms of infectious-contagious disease. In case of doubt, please consult us.
  • Groups divided according to the child’s development-autonomy.
  • Any “attitude” that is detrimental to the normal development of the group will be studied and may be sanctioned.
  • Care of the material and facilities is mandatory.
  • It is mandatory to keep the spaces clean.
  • Accompanying persons will not have access to the courtyard; they may use the waiting area.

16.- DISCIPLINARY REGIME

Sports centers are considered public places where rules of conduct regulated by a Disciplinary Regime are required. This disciplinary regime is a very useful internal document that streamlines disciplinary actions and complements those legal actions that any user or the entity itself deems appropriate to undertake.

16.1. INFRACCIONES

Violations of the rules of conduct will be of three types: VERY SERIOUS, SERIOUS AND MILD. The following are considered VERY SERIOUS violations: a) Inappropriate use of sports facilities, sports material or equipment that involves a significant disruption of coexistence and seriously, immediately and directly affect the tranquility or the exercise of legitimate rights of others, or the normal development of activities.b) Preventing the use of the sports facility or any of its elements to other users. c) Impeding or seriously obstructing the normal operation of the sports facility. d) Serious and relevant deterioration of equipment, infrastructure, facilities, elements or material of the sports facility. e) Physical or verbal aggression to the staff of the sports facility or to another user. f) Disobedience to employees when this may affect the safety of people. g) To knowingly enter the premises of the center intended for the opposite sex. h) Sexual practices of any kind within the sports facility. i) Any theft, robbery or attempt, either of any property of a user or of the facility itself. j) The falsification of documents or misuse of documentary records. k) To expose publicly and notoriously, either written or verbal, falsehoods that cause the discredit of the entity or its users. l) Introducing or exhibiting banners, symbols, emblems or legends that, due to their content or the circumstances in which they are exhibited or used, may be considered as an act that incites or encourages violent, xenophobic or racist behavior, or as an act of manifest contempt for the participants in the sports activity. m) Introducing weapons, flares, explosive firecrackers or any flammable, smoky or corrosive product. n) Lighting fires. o) Recidivism of serious offenses. The following are considered SERIOUS infractions : a) Inappropriate use of sports facilities, material or equipment when the circumstances to qualify them as very serious are not present.
b) Deterioration of equipment, infrastructure, facilities, elements or material of the sports facility when it is not considered very serious.
c) Failure to respect the schedules and operation of sports services.
d) Failure to comply with current regulations on consumption of tobacco, alcohol and narcotic substances.
e) Accessing the facility with glass containers or any other material that the facility staff deems inappropriate. f) Accessing the facilities with animals, except in the cases provided for by law. g) Accessing the facilities with vehicles of any kind, except when they have the space provided for this purpose and for the time limited to the duration of the activity. h) Giving classes without authorization. i) Carrying out any lucrative economic activity. j) Playing games with or without elements, except in the areas provided for this purpose. k) Introducing objects into the water, except in the cases provided for in the regulations. l) Taking photographs or video reports without express authorization.

m) Subletting, ceding or lending the right to use the reserved sports areas to third parties or entities without express authorization. n) The recurrence of minor offences. They are considered SERIOUS violations: a) Using the sports facilities without the appropriate clothing.
b) Not respecting the indicated rules governing each area.
c) Using music players without headphones.
d) Throwing substances and waste or any type of waste outside the containers intended for that purpose.
e) Eating outside the areas designated for this purpose.
f) Failure to heed the instructions of the facility staff. g) Any other breach of duties or the performance of actions prohibited to users in the internal rules of the center, when they do not give rise to a serious or very serious misconduct.

16.2. SANCIONES

The sanction corresponding to VERY SERIOUS infractions will be the suspension of subscriber rights for a period of 1 year or more, and may even lead to definitive suspension. The sanction corresponding to SERIOUS infringements will be the suspension of subscriber rights for a period of between 1 month and 1 year. The sanction corresponding to MINOR infractions will be a verbal or written warning with possible loss of subscriber rights for a period of between 1 day and 1 month.

16.3. REPOSICIÓN E INDEMNIZACIÓN

Regardless of the penalties that may be imposed for the facts typified in this Disciplinary Regime, the offender shall be obliged to restitution and replacement of the property to its previous state, with compensation for the damages caused.

16.4. RESPONSABLES

a) Those who commit the infractions of these Regulations shall be responsible for them. b) When the actions constituting an infraction are committed by several persons jointly, and it is not possible to determine the degree of participation of each one, they shall all be jointly and severally liable, in accordance with the provisions of the legislation on common administrative procedure.

16.5.PROCEDURE

In the event of an alleged infringement, the action to be taken will be as follows: a) The Management of the Sports Center delivers to the user a communiqué informing him/her of the disciplinary proceedings opened and the statement of charges. Until the decision of the sanction, the subscriber may use the facilities, except in cases of serious or very serious infractions.
b) The user may submit written allegations and propose the means of evidence it deems appropriate in defense of their rights. He has a period of 10 days from the date this document is sent.
c) Once the above procedure has been completed, the Center Management, within a maximum period of 20 days from receipt of the allegations, notifies the interested party of the agreement taken.
d) The faults considered as very serious infractions will be reported to the sports area of the City Council of the municipality itself, in the event that the facility is of a public nature.

16.6. PROCEDIMIENTO INTERNO

a) All staff is authority and may warn users of non-compliance with the rules. b) Communicate to the coordination and / or DT or responsible for repeated offenses of the same user for non-compliance with rules c) The Sports Center Management meets with the user to transfer the situation and its inclusion in sanction. The subscriber may use the facilities, except in cases of serious or very serious infractions.
