DUIN CLUB x RICKY RUBIO FOUNDATION: PROMOTING THE QUALITY OF LIFE WITH THE LUNGEFIT WORKSHOP

At DUIN CLUB, we are deeply proud to have collaborated with the Ricky Rubio Foundation in the LungFit Workshop (click here to know more) of November 26th, a transformative initiative that took place at the Pavelló Municipal de La Plana de Badalona. This event is part of this year’s edition of TV3’s La Marató, dedicated to respiratory disease research.

AN EVENT TO INSPIRE AND RAISE AWARENESS

The LungFit Workshop began with a panel discussion on how exercise can improve the quality of life of lung cancer patients. Speakers included prominent figures such as:

• Ricky Rubio, who shared his experience and commitment.
• Dr. Carcereny, ICO’s oncologist.
• Ariane Patout, AEACaP representative.
• Pilar Pasarón, of AstraZeneca.
• Aureli, patient in treatment.
• Our very own Jaume Sans, Product Director of DUIN CLUB.

Each brought a unique perspective on the importance of physical exercise in the oncological context, highlighting its role not only as a preventive tool, but also as a key element during treatment and recovery.

LIVE ACTION: ADAPTED FITNESS EXERCISE

The most emotional moment of the day was the live training for lung cancer patients, led by TRRF trainer Òscar Martínez. Patients and family members actively participated, showing exercises specially designed for people in treatment or recovery. It was a clear example of how movement can be a powerful ally in the fight against this disease.

THE LUNGFIT PROGRAMME

LungFit seeks to give value to physical exercise as an essential and complementary tool in cancer prevention and treatment. This activity, always supervised by health professionals and oncology exercise specialists, is a demonstration of how sport and health can go hand in hand to transform lives.

A JOINT EFFORT FOR RESEARCH

In addition, all donations raised during the event went entirely to La Marató de TV3, contributing to research into respiratory diseases.
