Center regulations
In order to guarantee a perfect operation and to maintain an adequate level of service of the sports facilities, the Management of the center makes available to you the rules of use *:
1. GENERAL RULES
- The facility is open from Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 10:45 p.m. in the fitness room and from 7 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the other areas of the center (swimming pool and water ona, paddle tennis and directed activities rooms), Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays and holidays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- On weekends and holidays, subscribers must leave the water and pool area and go to the locker room 20 minutes before closing time and follow the instructions of the lifeguards.
- Smoking is not permitted in any area of the facility, including the solarium, vending and terrace areas.
- The entry of animals is expressly forbidden in all the enclosure, with the exception of guide dogs.
- Subscribers under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age in order to use the facilities allowed for this age group, except when they participate in an activity specifically designed for this age group.
- It is mandatory to respect the schedules established for the different activities.
- Duin reserves the right to modify the program, the number of sessions and their content and schedule.
- Swimming courses are held every three months, coinciding with the school calendar, except for summer courses.
- The management of the facility is not responsible for lost and / or forgotten items, although lost items that may have been collected will be kept at the reception desk for one week. After this period the center cannot be held responsible.
- Damages and / or damage caused to the installation and / or equipment due to misuse, will entail its replacement and may result in the loss of the right to be paid.
- At the subscriber service point, there are sheets for suggestions and/or complaints available for users.
- The use of sports spaces and services by subscribers shall be governed by the characteristics of their subscription or fee. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the holder.
- Temporary medical leave shall be valid according to the medical report certifying such injury, after which the subscriber shall continue to be active with the quota prior to the event.
2. ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES
- The amount of the registration fee and the first payment shall be paid at the reception desk to process the registration. The following payments will be paid by direct debit to the bank provided by the user.
- The amount of the fee may vary depending on possible changes in the access modality or if it is a fee with an age limitation.
- Subscribers under 6 years of age will enjoy a 100% discount on the price of the season ticket and will pay the children’s fee from the age of 6.
- The subscriber may change the type of subscription and notify the change of his personal or bank data provided that he communicates it in writing to the reception of the center before the 20th day of the current month; those received subsequently will be processed during the following month.
- In the event that a receipt is returned for any reason beyond the organization’s control, the administrative costs will be charged to the subscriber.
- Returned receipts will incur a surcharge of €3 for administrative reprocessing.
- When a subscriber wishes to leave the center definitively, he/she must do so in writing to the reception of the center until the 20th of the current month. In this case, to regain the status of subscriber, he/she will have to pay the registration fee again. In the case of managing the cancellation by e-mail, only those requests made until the 20th of the current month during the opening hours of the sports center will be accepted.
- As it is a public sports center, the prices of each type of subscription will be approved by the City Council.
- Duin Jordi Marí reserves the right to apply promotions or registration discounts to people who have been unregistered at the facility for less than 6 months.
3. LOCKER ROOM RULES
- Respect the space of other subscribers or users.
- Management will not be responsible for lost or missing materials.
- It is forbidden to eat or smoke inside the locker rooms.
- Children under 5 years of age may enter the corresponding locker room with their parents. – After this age, they must change only in the corresponding changing rooms.
- Use bathing slippers to move around the area.
- It is recommended not to bring valuables. It is not allowed to deposit valuables in the lockers (jewelry, cameras, cell phones, etc.) The organization is not responsible for lost, forgotten and/or stolen objects. Duin will not be held responsible for any damage caused to goods deposited by users in the lockers.
- All subscribers can enjoy lockers for occasional use by means of a padlock that can be purchased at the center’s reception desk.
- It is necessary to use the lockers and always close the door.
- The lockers must be emptied at the end of the activity. At the end of the day, the lockers will be opened and the objects found inside will be deposited as lost and found objects and will be charged as a management fee.
- If you have problems with the lock, notify the installation personnel.
- In the event that a subscriber requests to break the lock of a locker and by mistake it is not his, he will have to pay the cost of a new lock to be delivered to the owner.
- It is necessary to take showers only for the time strictly necessary, so as not to waste water. It is necessary to contribute to its saving.
- Dry off in the shower area.
- For hygienic reasons, no waxing, dyeing or shaving is allowed in the locker room area.
4. RULES FOR THE FITNESS ROOM
- Children under 14 years of age are not allowed to enter the room or use the fitness equipment.
- Children under 16 years of age may not engage in weight-bearing activities and exercises.
- It is not allowed to access the fitness room with sports bags, food, glass containers, or any other material that the facility staff deems inappropriate for the practice being developed.
- It is not allowed to enter with the naked torso, street clothes or non-sporting or inappropriate footwear, except for personnel authorized by the center’s management.
- For hygienic reasons, the use of a towel between the body and the device used is mandatory.
- At the end of each exercise, wipe off any sweat that may remain on the equipment, especially cardiovascular equipment.
- During peak hours, the time limit for the use of the cardiovascular machines will be 20 minutes.
- The material used must be returned to its place once its use has been completed.
- During the recovery break between sets, it is mandatory to hand over the device if another subscriber is waiting.
- It will not be allowed to take the program outside the center.
5. STANDARDS FOR DIRECTED ACTIVITY STUDIES
- It is not allowed to enter or carry out activities for children under 14 years of age, except those programmed for this age group.
You can not access the activity rooms with sports bags, food, glass containers, or any other material that the facility staff believes unsuitable for the practice that takes place. - It is not allowed to enter in street clothes, with the naked torso, with inappropriate footwear or without a towel, except for personnel authorized by the center’s management.
- The activities are conducted throughout the year, except for the reduced hours during the summer months and holidays.
- It is necessary to use a towel to place on the mats to dry any sweat that may be left behind.
- The material used must be returned to its place once its use has been completed.
- Please be punctual. It will not be possible to enter the class once the session has started.
- In case you feel unwell, do not make light of it, you must immediately notify the sports technician.
- Hydrate (drink water): before, during and after the activity. Your body will thank you.
- The facility is not responsible for lack of information or disobedience to the technician.
- In case of cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, osteo-articular or other diseases that may pose a health risk, the technician must be notified and must always be accompanied.
- Certain directed activities have limited capacity. Users must be informed of the procedures for reserving places.
6. RULES FOR INDOOR CYCLING STUDIOS
- Children under 16 years of age are not allowed to enter or participate in these activities.
- It is not allowed to enter in street clothes, with the naked torso, with inappropriate footwear or without a towel, except for personnel authorized by the center’s management.
- Bicycles must be placed in the indicated place, at the beginning and at the end of the activity and with the adjustments completely loose.
- If you do not use specific footwear, gather the laces to avoid injuries.
- It is necessary to use a towel to wipe off sweat and clean the bicycles.
- To avoid injury, do not enter the class after the warm-up (+/- 10 minutes from the start).
- If you feel fatigued or dizzy, do not hesitate to reduce the intensity of the exercise or stop progressively and inform the sports technician.

- In case of cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, osteo-articular or other diseases that may pose a health risk, the technician must be notified and must always be accompanied.
7. RULES FOR INDOOR SWIMMING POOLS
- Children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult over 18 years of age. This responsible adult must be with him/her during the entire stay of the minor in the pool.
- Use bathing slippers to move around the area.
- Shower before entering the pool.
- In case of suffering from any cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, osteo-articular or other diseases that may pose a health risk, the technician or lifeguard must be notified and always be accompanied.
- It is mandatory to wear a one-piece swimsuit for men and a one-piece or two-piece swimsuit for women, swim cap and bathing shoes.
- In the pool area, both in and out of the water, no dangerous activity is allowed, such as running, jumping, pushing, diving or playing games that may involve physical risk.
- Respect the spaces and / or swimming lanes that, according to the level and programming, are delimited for courses and other activities.
- If you feel unwell, do not play down the importance, immediately notify the lifeguard or sports technician.
- During off-peak days, the technical stop will be carried out in compliance with current legislation. This aspect is already prorated in the monthly fee.
- It is not allowed to carry external sports equipment, except for pool fins, provided they are short, and mittens.
8. RULES FOR THE WATER AREA
- Children under 16 years of age are not allowed to use it.
- If you suffer from any cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, osteo-articular or other diseases that may pose a health risk, you should consult your doctor, inform the technician and always be accompanied.
- It is mandatory to shower before entering the whirlpool, sauna or steam bath.
- It is not advisable to stay more than 10-15 minutes at a time.
- It is necessary to remove all objects that oppress our skin (watches, chains, earrings, etc.).
- Each of these facilities has its own rules of use that must be properly followed.
9. GENERAL RULES FOR PADDLE TENNIS COURTS
- Children under 14 years of age are not allowed to enter without being accompanied by a person of legal age (except for courses or organized activities).
- Use within the courts clothing and footwear suitable for sports practice, being totally forbidden to use the courts without a shirt. Likewise, it is forbidden to use sports equipment not suitable for the sport in question, such as cleats or tennis racquets on the paddle courts and vice versa. The use of each court must be its own, not being able to practice any other sport for which it is not intended.
- It is forbidden to rent the courts for private lessons, not allowing the entry of baskets of balls or material for teaching paddle, except for monitors belonging to the club itself.
- The use of glass bottles is not allowed on the premises.
- It is not allowed the manipulation of the game nets by personnel outside the facility. Any anomaly should be reported to reception.
- We kindly ask you to use the garbage cans and collaborate with the good maintenance of the facilities.
- Skateboards, skateboards, bicycles and soccer balls are not allowed in the facilities.
- The access and permanence in the sports facility by the users will entail an appropriate behavior in terms of attitude and respect towards the normal development of the activities, the whole facility and the staff that provides service in the facility.
10. REGULATIONS FOR THE RENTAL OF PADDLE TENNIS COURTS
- To use the courts it is absolutely essential to have made a previous reservation on them, having proceeded to their payment through the digital means available, or at the Reception of the club, according to the type of reservation. Reservations can never be made by email or telephone.
- Tracks can be reserved for a playing time of 60, 90 or 120 minutes at a time.
- A reservation may be cancelled or changed up to 24 hours in advance, always through the online application or at the Club’s reception, never by email or telephone.
- Refunds will only be made in cases of cancellation as stated in the specific regulations for each service, provided that the deadlines detailed therein are met. The Club will refund the full amount of the reservation to the client’s voucher. If the client does not have a voucher, the Club will activate it and charge the amount to be refunded for the cancellation.
- In case it is raining or the court is impracticable due to rain, the customer may request a refund, which will always be made to the voucher (clubs with outdoor courts).
- If it starts raining once the game has started, and if it has not been playing for more than 30 minutes, the amount of the court will be refunded to the voucher as explained in the previous point. If 30 minutes of play have already elapsed, the court fee will not be refunded (outdoor club).
11. REGULATIONS FOR PRIVATE LESSONS AND PADDLE BONUSES:
- The Duin School’s offer includes private lessons, completely adapted to the specific needs of the student.
- There is the possibility of hiring private lessons for 1 or 2 people.
- The student may choose the day and time that best suits him/her for the class, as long as there are teachers available.
- The day and time when the classes of a voucher are held can be defined class by class or in general for the whole voucher, always with the confirmation of the Club’s coordination.
- Bonds are payable upon purchase.
- Private classes may be cancelled or changed in time or day, as long as it is done at least 24 hours before the class is to be held. Cancellation less than 24 hours in advance will result in the loss of the class and the amount paid for it.
12. DISCIPLINARY REGIME
Sports centers are considered public spaces in which rules of conduct regulated by a Disciplinary Regime are necessary. This disciplinary regime is a very useful internal document that streamlines disciplinary actions and complements those legal actions that any user or the entity itself deems appropriate to undertake.
12.1. INFRACCIONES
Violations of the rules of conduct shall be of three types: VERY SERIOUS, SERIOUS AND MILD.
They are considered VERY SERIOUS infractions :
a) The improper use of sports facilities, material or sports equipment that involves a significant disruption of coexistence and seriously, immediately and directly affect the tranquility or the exercise of legitimate rights of others, or the normal development of activities. b) Preventing the use of the sports facility or any of its elements to other users. c) Impeding or seriously obstructing the normal operation of the sports facility. d) Serious and relevant deterioration of equipment, infrastructure, facilities, elements or material of the sports facility. e) Physical or verbal aggression to the staff of the sports facility or another user. f) Disobedience to employees when this may affect the safety of persons. g) Entering consciously in dependencies of the center destined for the opposite sex. h) Sexual practices of any kind within the sports facility. i) Any theft, robbery or attempt, either of any property of a user or of the facility itself. j) The falsification of documents or misuse of documentary records. k) Publicly and notoriously expose, either written or verbal, falsehoods that cause the discredit of the entity or its users. l) Introducing or displaying banners, symbols, emblems or legends that, due to their content or the circumstances in which they are displayed or used, may be considered as an act that incites or encourages violent, xenophobic or racist behavior, or as an act of manifest contempt for the participants in the sports activity. m) Introducing weapons, flares, explosive firecrackers or any flammable, smoky or corrosive product. n) Lighting fires. o) Recidivism of serious offenses.
The following are considered SERIOUS infractions :
a) The improper use of municipal sports facilities, material or equipment when the circumstances do not meet the qualification of very serious. b) The deterioration of equipment, infrastructure, facilities, facilities, elements or material of the sports facility when not considered very serious. c) Failure to respect the schedules and operation of sports services. d) Failure to comply with current regulations on consumption of tobacco, alcohol and narcotic substances
. e) Making use of sports services with containers or containers of glass, metal or any other material other than paper or plastic
. f) Access with animals to the facilities, except in cases provided by law. g) Access the facilities with vehicles of any kind, except when they have the space provided for this purpose and for the time limited to the duration of the activity. h) Give classes without authorization. i) Perform any lucrative economic activity. j) Play games with or without elements, except in the areas provided for this purpose. k) Introduce objects into the water, except in the cases provided for in the regulations. l) Make photographic or video reports, without express authorization. m) Sublet, assign or lend the right to use the sports areas with reservation to third parties
persons or entities without express authorization. n) Recidivism of minor offenses.
They are considered SINGLE infractions :
a) Using the sports facilities without the appropriate clothing.
b) Not respecting the rules that apply in each area.
c) Using music players without headphones.
d) Throwing substances and waste or any type of waste outside the containers intended for that purpose.
e) Eating outside the areas designated for this purpose.
f) Failure to heed the instructions of the staff of the municipal sports facilities.
g) Any other breach of duty or the performance of actions prohibited to users in the internal rules of the center, when they do not give rise to a serious or very serious offense.
12.2. SANCIONES
The sanction corresponding to VERY SERIOUS infractions will be the suspension of subscriber rights for a period of 1 year or more, and may even lead to definitive suspension.
The sanction corresponding to SERIOUS infringements will be the suspension of subscriber rights for a period of between 1 month and 1 year.
The penalty for SINGLE infractions will be a verbal or written warning with possible loss of subscriber rights for a period of between 1 day and 1 month.
12.3. REPOSICIÓN E INDEMNIZACIÓN
Regardless of the penalties that may be imposed for the facts typified in this Disciplinary Regime, the offender shall be obliged to restitution and replacement of the property to its previous state, with compensation for the damages caused.
12.4. RESPONSABLES
a) Those who commit infringements of these Regulations shall be responsible for them.
b) When the actions constituting an infringement are committed by several persons jointly, and it is not possible to determine the degree of participation of each one, they shall all be jointly and severally liable, in accordance with the provisions of the legislation on common administrative procedure.
12.5. PROCEDIMIENTO
In the event of an alleged violation, the action to be taken shall be as follows:
a) The Management of the Sports Center delivers to the user a communiqué informing him/her of the disciplinary file opened and the statement of charges. Until the decision of the sanction the subscriber may use the facilities, except in cases of serious or very serious violations.
b) The user may submit written allegations and propose the means of evidence it deems appropriate in defense of their rights. They have a period of 10 days from the date this document is sent.
c) Once the above procedure has been completed, the Management of the Center, within a maximum period of 20 days from receipt of the allegations, notifies the interested party of the agreement taken.
d) The faults considered as very serious infractions will be reported to the sports area of the City Council of the municipality itself, in the event that the facility is of a public nature.
13. USE OF INVITATIONS
The Duin centers reserve the right to deliver or exchange invitations to subscribers and non-subscribers in order to facilitate access to the sports center to people who are not subscribers. To make use of these invitations must be attended to:
- Each Duin center will decide the reason for the delivery of the invitations according to its own commercial policy, without having to maintain these reasons indefinitely in time.
- Provided that the center allows it, a user may redeem the invitation if he/she has not made use of another invitation in the last year.
- Invitations may not be used by former subscribers who have been unsubscribed for less than 1 year or who have an outstanding receipt.
- The use of an invitation allows the user to access the sports center for 1 day and make use of the same services and activities of the full fee subscribers. In no case it will include services such as courses, personal training, aesthetic services, health services,…
- The use of an invitation implies consent to the processing of the user’s personal data and acceptance of the administrative conditions.
- By using the invitations, the user accepts to be aware of the implicit risks that physical exercise may have on health and exonerates the company from any liability for damages and injuries.
- The management of each Duin center may modify this policy for the convenience of its subscribers.
